    Patron

    Elder son of Mrs Elsie Bertram MBE and has had Type 1 diabetes since 1959.

  • Nigel Bertram

    Patron

    Businessman and farmer. He is the younger son of the late Mrs Elsie Bertram MBE, founder of the Trust, and has had Type 1 diabetes since 1967.

  • Dr Richard Greenwood

    Patron & Founder

    A retired Consultant Diabetologist at The Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. He previously chaired The Norfolk Diabetes Appeal and The Norwich & Norfolk Diabetes Trust from 1987 to 2010.

    Chair

    Consultant Diabetologist at the Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre in Norwich since 1994 and has been a member of The Norfolk Diabetes Trust and its predecessor since 1994.

  • Katharina Mattishent

    Trustee

    Katharina is a Clinical Lecturer in Older People’s Medicine at the University of East Anglia/Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, having previously worked as a Defendant Professional Indemnity Solicitor at Mills & Reeve in Norwich. She completed her PhD on hypoglycaemia in older people with diabetes and dementia. She has had type 1 diabetes since 2002.

  • Clair Haylock

    Clinical Lead

    Clinical Lead for Diabetes at St Stephens Gate Medical Practice for over 10 years and diabetes clinical advisor for Norwich CCG.

  • Prof. Ketan Dhatariya

    Diabetes Consultant

    Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital since 2004.

  • Margaret Flatman

    Trustee

    Type 1 Diabetic since 1949. 1989-2008 Eye Screening Manager at the NNUH NHS Trust. Trusttee of The Norfolk Diabetes Trust since 1998.

  • Lucy Webster

    Charity Co-ordinator

    Works for the NHS, has two children and has been a Type 1 diabetic since 1983.
